Clearwater Construction's experience in dam and marine construction includes a variety of both large and small contracts covering work scopes such as: pile driving, marine concrete work, drilling, dam/spillway maintenance and construction, excavation, shoreline stabilization, cofferdam installation, dewatering, slurry wall construction, slope protection, and oil and gas industry support.
Our team of experienced industry veterans has the expertise to tackle some of the most technically challenging marine and heavy civil construction projects.
Clearwater recently completed the rehabilitation of the dam and gatehouse at Pymatuning State Park in Jamestown, PA. The $10 million dam repair project included rehabilitating the gatehouse’s structural concrete, new trash racks and sluice gates at the gatehouse, stone masonry re-pointing and grouting, new gatehouse windows and roofing, new drainage inlets, structural concrete repairs to headwalls and spillway bridge, repaving the ¾-mile roadway and two walls that run across the top of the dam, outlet channel dredging and rip-rap placement, bituminous paving, and putting down new stamped reinforced concrete sidewalks in the area.
Clearwater Construction is currently working on the George B. Flegal Dam and Reservoir project as a subcontractor to the Kanawha Stone Company. We are responsible for the construction of a spillway at the Cobun Creek Dam. Cobun Creek Dam No. 2 is a proposed 74-foot high water supply dam located one mile south of I-68 along Upper Cobun Creek Road, Monongalia County, WV.
