ROSEMONT AVENUE BRIDGE

This project included the replacement of the Rosemont Ave. Bridge over Darby Creek with construction of a single span, composite pre-stressed concrete spread box beam bridge on spread footings.

Clearwater Construction replaced the existing plate girder pony truss bridge carrying Rosemont Avenue over Darby Creek with a single span, composite prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge including architectural treatments and a new bronze bridge plaque to preserve the aesthetics of the previous structure.

Improvements include a new roadway alignment and a wider deck section to allow for improved site distance and increased traffic flow. While a sidewalk on one side of the structure with ADA curb ramps will enhance pedestrian safety, utility relocation was required to accommodate the new structure and included pre-planning for future gas line transport under and across the bridge approaches and span.

This project was completed 8 months ahead of schedule.
