HICKORY STREET BRIDGE RESTORATION

This $4M project was for the restoration of this historically significant, single-span steel thru-truss structure carrying Hickory Street over the Stonycreek River in the City of Johnstown.

Clearwater’s scope included a partial demolition of the existing bridge structure, extensive structural steel repairs & enhancements designed to improve its carrying capacity. Clearwater also performed painting of the complete truss, a new lightweight concrete bridge deck, parapet, guide rail and ADA compliant curb ramps and sidewalks. The advanced lighting system created an aesthetically pleasing final product.
